HARMONOGRAPH

A Harmonograph is a device made up of two pendulums, usually with a pen that is attached to one pendulum tracing a line on paper mounted on the other pendulum. A Harmongram is the resulting drawing. There are many methods of arranging the pendulums, one of which is in the form of a double compound pendulum. In the stereoscopic photograph below, the pen was replaced by a little flashlight and the paper by a stereoscopic camera that captured the light path.
