3D Center of Art & Photography: We're in a golden age of 3-D at the movies, with films such as "Coraline" and "Avatar" using advances in the technology in breathtaking ways. But 3-D imagery has been around more than 160 years -- it was a popular early form of photography. Tucked into a tiny storefront along Northwest Lovejoy Street is an unusual museum dedicated to the past and future of 3-D. Director Paul Brenner has assembled display cases with vintage Viewmaster viewers and reels, 3-D cameras and glasses. Through February, the gallery is displaying photographer Dale Walsh's 3-D images of sacred places from around the world, and the museum theater has a selection of short films showing how 3-D can be used to reflect the modern world, not just catlike creatures from another world. Admission is just $5; if you go on First Thursdays, it's free. 1928 N.W. Lovejoy St.; 503-227-6667
